Fabulous Parisian decorative plates from the 1900 Exposition Universal, or World Fair and they are particularly delightful with their representations of the highlights of the building which hosted the fair surrounded by pale pink flowers and yellow and blue elegantly scrolled designs. 
 
The edges of the plates are fluted and have a gold edge, some of this has rubbed in places from use. There is light crazing and a buttered patina. 
 
They are sold in pairs; the first is the Petit Palais and la Porte Montmartre and the second pair is the Pont Alexandre III and Le Chateau d'Eau
 
They are stamped CM& Cie and measure just over 8" in diameter. There are no chips or cracks.
