The ultimate Paris grocery store of the Haussmann era, Julien Damoy was an exclusive and upmarket retailer, opening his flagship stone in Paris Premier on the Boulevard Sebastapol in 1889, thus their confiture crocks are hard to come by. 
 
This is an even rarer find as it is the unusual larger size, 6" tall.
 
The pot is well preserved but has one stable hairline. It has the Badonvillier stamp of authenticity on the base.
