In the beautiful Rouen design by JV Bordeaux, a raised serving plate which has been so beloved in the home that is was mended with iron staples when it had an accident.
 
This antique plate shows signs of age and use, as well as the stapling, having some mature chips around the foot. It can be displayed with the front against a plate wall to enjoy the staples and the JVB stamp.
 
A loved and characterful piece, stamped on the base and measuring 9.5" in diameter.
