The classic Chololat Menier tin, it used to contain chocolate bars which were  displayed in it  on a shop counter. The card sign which fits inside the open lid is still in place,  a little timeworn, with a hole but a lovely piece of history!
 
The box itself is in the expected condition for its age, it has lost some of its gold finish, through use, has some scratches on the shiny base and a dent at the bottom. The hinges work and the box opens and closes well.
 
It measures 8" by 8.5" by 3.25"
