In a beautiful shade of pink, this antique seltzer bottle has etching showing it is used to publicise the drink supplies company in Sotteville in Rouen. The etching on the bottle is also inscribed as made by L Gilles & Cie Paris and the mechanism was made in Paris too, stamped on the metal.
 
The etching is intricate advertising E Leroy and sons who supplied sparkling drinks;  syrups, sodas and pasteurised water. 
 
This attractively fluted glass syphon in a hard to find colour looks beautiful on a sunny windowsill, illuminated cabinet or on a French style bar cart.
 
This gorgeous syphon measures 12" tall.
 
There are some traces of limescale on the inside of the bottle from use and some very small nibbles on the base from life in a bar.
