From a traditional French home to yours, this intricately designed religious statue was probably from a pilgrimage to the Basilica of Notre Dame de Bonsecours near Rouen in Normandy. This journey has been made by Pilgrims since the 11th century.
 
The icon features the famous statue of the Madonna and Child in the basilica at Bonsecours and has the name underneath the statue.
 
The base has four religious images, the sacred heart and the cross.
 
The statue shows its age through patination and is made of spelter metal. It stands just over 12" tall
