A collectible English wooden turned and hand carved butter board with the original blue and white willow pattern butter dish insert, 
 
The carving remains crisp and the wood has developed a rich warm patina, there are a very few historical holes, the wood has also just been treated as a precaution.
 
The butter dish is intact, I have not been able to remove it, this is either due to movement in the wood or it has been stuck by a previous owner.
