A hand carved bread serving platter which would have been used at every meal in the French family's home, with the words "Donnez-nous notre pain quotidien" from the Lord's prayer, reminding the family to feel gratitude for their food.
 
The carving is crisp and the baord in good condition. There is what looks like water discolouration on the inside of the bowl.
