A classic 19th century Felix Potin confiture pot but with a unique patina developed by the passage of time, and from reuse in the home.
 
The surface of the ironstone pot remains shiny, so it has been photographed from many angles and in different lights so you can see the mottled patina as distinct from the reflections.
 
On the base is the Luneville stamp and the crock is in good structural condition and stands 5.5" tall
