A beautifully ornately designed ormou (French gilded metal) duo picture frame. The elegant design is classically French with its rose garland and detailing on the round frames. 
 
It is easily hung on the wall by the integral loop and the frame is quite light due to the repoussé garland.
 
The metal backs need to be gently levered out to replace the pictures, I have left the original pictures in place, I certainly think they were related and are part if the pieces history.
 
Each picture frame measures 2.75" in diameter, 5.25" across the pair with a 5.5" drop.
 
The frame is believed to date from the late 1800s to the early 1900s and can be certified as an antique for customs purposes.
