The classic and so attractive Felix Potin jar. This example is special as it is one of the oldest jars, as you can see from the relief imprint of the design rather than the later pots which were printed flat. if you run your finger over the design it is textured not just printed.
 
The ironstone is heavier than the 20th century Felix Potin pots and remains clear of patination. It has not escaped unscathed, it has a chip at the back of the pot on the rim and two chips underneath. None very apparent from the front.
 
It stands 5.5" tall.
