A stunning French coffee cup from a Parisian cafe of the 19th century, brûlots are now collectible as well as being the perfect vessel for your French style coffee.
Made of thick, heavyweight porcelain, this is a top quality brûlot has an elegant and unusual waisted shape.
The base is thick as it has its dimple in the base, traditionally the cup was turned upside down for a shot of eau de vie to be poured in once the coffee had been drunk.
The cup is useable today and we recommend that you prewarm it with a little hot water, it then keeps the coffee warm. Traditionally they would have been stacked on top of the coffee machine in the cafe and warmed by the heat
Unusually, it comes complete with its saucer.
It measures 3" tall and the saucer is 5" in diameter
