A beautiful floral red transferware tureen with delicate flowers and butterflies and an attractive rounded shape. Made by sought after manufacturer Gien.
 
This design dates back to 1886 and it has all the adorable patina of age, with crackling and 'tea staining', clearly pictured.
 
There is a small old chip on the handle, and the signs of age and use, crazing with 'tea staining' around the bowl and lid.
 
Handle to handle it is 11" and stands 5.5" tall, it is  7.5" across the opening
