This 19th century Felix Potin Saindoux ironstone crock is a rare and highly collectible piece of French advertising.
The Potin confiture crock features eyecatching typography in black on the off-white ironstone background, with the Felix Potin logo on the front and the Luneville maker's mark on the base, as well as the FP initials.
The crock has developped a light tea staining, adding to its unique charm and appeal. There are a few old chips at the rim and a small chip at the base at the back. Inside there is crazing at the base which has not shown clearly in the picture.
It is just over 5" tall and 4" in diameter
