There are so may reasons that I can describe this pot as a favourite, but the top one has to be its unique patina, not only does it have a delicate crème brulée finish all over, but also has three little half moon shapes at the base which correspond perfectly to two fingers and a thumb, where it was manually dipped into the glaze, it's telling its own story! The history of the indvidual maker is preserved in this confiture pot,

It is one of the earliest models, from the last quarter of the 1800s, as can be seen not only from the Luneville stamp but the imprint of the FP mark on the base.

The 'cherry on the cake' for this pot is that the teal transferware Felix Potin Paris design has been put on at a slight angle.

Truly an unique piece for your collection. It measures 5" tall with no chips or cracks.
