A fabulous Onnaing majolica pitcher which dates from between 1910 and1920. It has gorgeous stylised dark pink roses in an aqua coloured geometric vase on an ochre base. Inside, the pitcher is dark wine red.
 
It is quintessentially Art Deco and reminds me of the work of Charles Rennie Macintosh
 
On the base is the authenticity mark of Onnaing, and numbered 919. It stands 7" tall and has one small loss. Difficult to see, it is marked with an arrow in the last image. Inside there is some hard water staining from use.
