I couldn't resist this delightful pair of plates depicting a day at the races, featuring Parisians in glorious turn of the century clothes.

There are also humorous scenes including a horse refusing a jump and catapulting its rider over the hedge!

Both plates have a delightful sepia brown leaf design around the edge and three scenes from the races.

On the back is the Digoin Sarreguemines stamp and two holes to take a hook to attach them to the wall as they make fine display plates

The plates are in good condition with no chips, cracks or discolouration, and measure 7.75" in diameter.

Dating from around 1900, they can be certified as antiques for customs purposes.
