In a light French blue, these plates have the most beautiful transferware designs of birds swooping around watery arcadian scenes.
The plates themselves are elegantly fluted and a lovely ivory coloured ironstone. They came from a Parisian grand house and were discovered in a Paris antique market.
There are three different designs sold as a set of three plates, one of each design, they measure 8.25" in diameter.
Dating from 1875, these plates have been used, washed and stacked, all the plates show signs of wear and use, there is only one tiny fleabites I can find on one of the heron plates.
