Wedgwood is the classic ceramacist, the Englishman who influenced many of the early French faience designers and has remained popular in France.

 

Every thing about this beautiful vintage piece whispers quality, from its creamy glaze, lion's feet, the   classic faced handles on each side and the elevation of its elegant embossed pattern. It also has the original lid. It truly is a collector's piece. Found in Paris from a French family home.

 

The stamp and patent mark date it from between 1940 and 1960.

 

The tureen is in useable condition, as well as displaying beautifully. There is a small fault on the lid as indicated in the picture. It measures 7" tall and 8" across the handles .

 

At time of listing there is also a Patrician gravy boat available.
