From the Drôme region in the south of France this is a beautiful example of St Uze white stoneware with its characteristic cobalt blue floral design. 
 
The base is a reservoir for oil and a wick was raised and lowered with the preserved winding mechanism.
 
In super condition, it has been emptied and cleaned and is sold as a decorative piece.
 
It stands 8.5" tall
