A beautifully deep antique colander discovered in a Provence antique market. 
 
It has a deep green glaze over local hand thrown clay. and all the expected signs of being used for many decades in a Provencal kitchen in the form of chips and wear to the glaze.
 
Still useable for straining vegetables today, it would also make a great display in your French inspired kitchen, perhaps even with a battery powered candle to throw a twinkling light through the hand cut draining holes.
 
It measures a generous 10" by 5" deep
