Originally used in French houses of the Napoleon III era to 'hide the nail' when putting up a picture, these beautiful ormolu (gilded metal) cache clous are delightful to display, I have seen them framed, or to pop into a French vignette.
 
They are for sale in pairs; the two round ones measuring 1.5" and the smaller just under, the larger pair of bows measuring 2" and 1.75" long and the small bows measuring 1.25" long
