A collection of four envelopes from the later 1800s written French cursive script and stamped.
One is a standard envelope and three are folded paper. Traditionally, when sending correspondence, sheets of paper were folded over and sealed with sealing wax.
One has no contents, it may have contained a ticket or lightweight item. The other two are bills dated 1880 and 1881, one is from Bourgeois Paris and the other is rather creased, but still interesting, with a lovely old French postage stamp.
