A charming and very typically French original oil on canvas painting. The eye moves from the densely wooded left of the painting along the path winding gently to the clearing on the right. 
 
It is signed and dated 16th May 1937 and the painting is in a condition commensurate with its age. There is some minor paint loss and wear, especially around the edges. 
 
The painting measures 22" by 15"
