From the famous fine Parisian department store, just around the corner from the Opera Garnier in the centre of Paris, this box still has the label on the base.

Covered in thick floral fabric in faded gold, cream, red and green it has a passementerie trim (coming away slightly in one place, but re-stickale) and of solid construction, the box is made of some kind of wood.

Inside, it is lined with green silk, a luxury box from a luxury store.

There is damage to the corners, the worst is pictured in close up and  as an old well used box, it may benefit from gentle cleaning, depending on your aesthetic. It measures 9.5" by  6.5" by 2.5"

One of three old Parisian fabric covered boudoir boxes currently available on Quitessentially French, pictured together in the last image. These boxes are increasingly hard to find so I am happy to be able to bring you a small stack!

The boxes could have been used for sewing materials, accessories, letters or amy manner of necessities for a French lady in the olden days, perfect for storage as well as styling today. All show wear from use and age, more photographs are availble on request. They have not been cleaned or resptred in any way and come in as found condition.
