A beautifully decorative pair of sauce boat and ravier in the beautiful 'roses de noel' design by Gien, and just look at the wonderful handles on the saucière! THese and the GIen stamp on the base place this pair circa 1880.
 
The soft pink is a of their transferware design is perfectly complimented by their honied patina where they have been well used at table in their French home. The sauce boat also has crazing, particularly apparent inside the bowl where the hot sauce has been.  
 
The saucière in the traditional French style has the saucer attached to the sauce boat and measures 11" by 4" tall and the raviere measures 9.5" by 5"
