Three beautiful and scarce French enamel épicerie pots dating from the 1920s. I love their delicate and clear rose pink and the elegant ridged shape. I was so happy to source these rare finds for you.
They are in very good condition for their age. They do of course have chips to the enamel and some rusting from use in a French kitchen, but they have been well cared for and the lettering and gold highlights remain clear and bright with minimal rubbed wear. They are a coffee set; 'Café' , 'Chicorée' and 'Sucre'. Chicory was widely used mixed with coffee or replacing actual coffee.
There are some small chips, minor dents and traces of rust but they remain useable and in really good condition for their age, these were bought as quality pots a hundred or so years ago and have stood the test of time! The insides of the sugar and chicory pots are in good condition with a small insignificant area of rust on the coffee canister.
They measure just under 8" tall and just under 5" in diameter. They are made of quality metal.
