A highly collectible polychromatic design, of a pair of magnificent cockerels chasing a butterfly, with deep pink irises on the back.

 

This early transferware design dates from the last quarter of the 1800s and is hand coloured over a sepia transfer.

 

Available is a cup and saucer in good clear (antique) condition.

A patinated  cup and saucer which has been used more, the saucer is shown front and back and the cup has patination inside on the base.

 

The cups are French coffee cup size, 2.5" tall, the saucer 5" diameter. They are stamped on the base with the Sarreguemines crown and coat of arms, confirming the date
