A charmingly decorative set of two cups and saucers with matching creamer, hand stencilled with a not widely found tulip design, from the long established French brand, Digoin Sarreguemines, which started out  during the Revolution and remains very popular to collect today.

The design style is Deco in shape, the nine sided conical cups and angular eight sided milk jug suggest 1930s.

Furthermore the pattern of the artwork is immediately is recognisible as Digoin and the stamp underneath confirms this and as being made between the end of the first World War and the beginning of the Second.

The age is shown by the small manufacturing defects; flea bites which are under the glaze and areas which are not smooth. The items themselves have some patination from use, staining on the foot of the cup, inside the creamer and a small chip on the underside of one saucer and there is some roughness around the edge of the cups.

The creamer is 4.5" tall, the cups 2" and the saucers 4.5" diameter.
