I am delighted to bring you this rare and wonderfully attractive Julien Damoy confiture pot in Art Nouveau style, dating from aroud the turn of the 19th century. Damoy was a very upmarket Parisian grocer from the Napoleon III /Haussmann era.
This is a rare addition to your Damoy collection as they rarely come on the market.
The crock is attractive, green (with a hint of teal) elegant floral transferware design adorns all four sides with "Confitures Extra-Fines" on one side, "Julien Damoy Paris" on the opposite and a heart shaped flower and foliage design on the other two.
This confiture pot measures 4.5" tall, it widens to 4" diameter at the top. The pot is in overall very good antique condition.
