A delightful green transferware bird design plate, sold in Paris, stamped on the base, and dating from the last quarter of the 1800s.
 
It depicts a pair of birds perching on a cactus branch in bloom, an unusual design and wonderful as part of a plate wall.
 
The plate has signs of age and use; crazing and discolouration and measures 8" in diameter.
