This fabulous bowl stopped me in my tracks at a Paris professional market. 
 
I love that although ceramic, it looks like a classic French floral table cloth with the quintessential red stripe, one corner is turned down, a lovely touch. The ceramic is appropriately textured and it is highlighted subtly with gold.
 
Made by Fives Lille an artistic faïence company for which many renowned designers have produced collections, which are only marked by the company stamp, not their name.
 
It measures 10" square and 2.5" high. There is one tiny area of glaze loss, indicated with the arrow as it is difficult to spot.
