A particularly attractive French brass chamberstick, chosen as it is out of the ordinary with detailing highlighting the shape, the base has concentric circles, it has an ergonimic handle and the rise and fall candle lever works freely. There is also a blunt spike on the base of this to hold the candle firmly, it's the little details that count.
 
It is slightly off-perpendicular but a candle still burns well inside. It has been polished in the past, but its patina is rich and I have left it as found.
 
The candlestick measures 6" tall and just over 4" across the base.
