This stunning Sarraguemines decorative dish is a stunning celebration of French artistry. A rare part of the sought after and exclusive Louis XV range. A true collector's piece.
Dating from the 19th century, this large fruit bowl or serving dish has the signature exquisite floral pattern; romantic pink and soft yellow roses and cornflowers with a deep feathered gold edging.
The beautiful clover shaped dish has a scalloped pattern and an ornately flowing handle, embellished with hand applied gilding.
The dish is a graceful centrepiece, serving bowl or treasure to display, it is versitule and can be styled in a variety of creative ways.
Underneath is the attractive blue Sarraguemines stamp with the range's Louis XV name. This was used by Sarreguemines for the premium ranges from the mid 19th century until 1895
The dish is 11" long and wide and 2.25" high.
It is in excellent antique condition, no chips or cracks, but with minor signs of age, a little light crazing and patination, all part of its Belle Epoque charm..
