A particularly attractive traditional vintage enamel match holder, in striking red and white enamel. Slightly larger than the average match tin, it can be wall mounted or sit on the counter top and would have been mounted next to the kitchen range to keep the matches at hand.
 
This is a quality box, Belgian made and dating from the early 20th Century. It measures 7" tall by 6" wide and 3" deep. It is in good condition for its age, with a few of the expected chips and rusty patches of authenticity from use and age.
