These ormolu and glass boxes with their silk cushions were popular upmarket souvenirs from travels and are today very collectible.
 
This box is particularly delightful due to the seafront picture of Dieppe being in colour and with scintillating hand applied touches which catch the light.
 
The picture remains bright with summery intense colours. It is a little wobbly on its feet as the metal is soft and they have moved over time.
 
The box measures 3" by 2" and 2.5" tall
