A very unusually shaped faisselle, but incredibly practical as the three sweet legs raise it from the surface to allow the whey to drain easily. They also make it an attractive form and a beautiful display peice as well as an interesting addition to a collection.

 

Its primitive manufacture in local clay adds to its authentic charm - the glaze is unevenly applied, the faiselle is not perfectly round and it has a split at the top from manufacture. It is well used and woen, you can see that the glaze has worn in places, especially around the rim
