From the 19th Century, this large English stoneware jelly mould has the tradtional emblem of Great Britain, the lion, on its base. Tactile and deeply patterned, this is an early example and a wonderful addition to an English collection, as well as being suitable for making traditional jellies and blancmange. It has a perfectly imperfect irregular shape.

The mould has no cracks and one small chip on the base, which is difficult to spot, it does of course hace the general signs of age and is primitive in its manufacture with imperfections including an original firing split along the lion.

It stands3.35' or 8.25cm tall and  is 6.75" or 17cm long by 5" or 14cm wide.
