This beautiful now deep honey coloured stained and crazed confiture pot was once creamy white ironstone. 
 
Dating from the 19th century it has developed the most amazing patina. 
 
It is old, heavy ironstone with the indented base and rounded bottom inside, so characteristic of the oldest pieces. 
 
There is one very old chip, clearly shown and a few old nibbles around the edges. There is one old crack on the inside.
 
It is just under 4,5" tall and 3.5" in diameter or 11cm by 9cm.
