From the 19th century, this extremely elegant sauce boat stands out,  for not only its elegant curves but for the detailed moulding around the handle. It has the beautiful Creil et Monterau stamp on the base, dating it from the 1880s.
 
It is in good vintage condition, there are some minor stains and marks from age and use. There is staining around the edges of the scrolling which highlights the pattern. There is a hairline in the ironstone on the base of the handle and some scratches inside. 
 
It measures just under 8" long by 5" tall to the top of the handle.
