It has a functioning brass hinge and clip perfectly compliments the delicate rosary with its coral colour beads and gold plated filigree cross and medal. The chain is in the same colour which looks lovely with the beads which have slight variations in colour
 
They display beautifully as a pair, the light plays on the ribbed lustre of the case and the beads are a perfect complement, colourful but not too bright, retaining a subtlety so beloved by the French.
