A beautiful and authentically old cheese strainer, used in a French farmhouse to make a fresh soft cheese called faisselle, the curds were put in the mould and the whey drained.

This artisinal made antique piece has great character, marks from use around the holes, uneaven rich, deep glaze and wear to the rim from being used and reused, but no chips or cracks.

It has great rustic charm in itself, but also can be repurposed as a tealight lantern or a pot for perhaps orchids or bulbs.

It measures 4.75" diameter and just over 3" tall.
