I love this tradition of writing on the front of the postcard, filling every available space with the excitement of the visit to a new place.
 
This set of four postcards are written in a small script around the image. Only one is dated, 1901 and would think they are all from this period. Three are French 'Carte Postale' and the fourth is sent to France from a visit to Germany.
 
They photograph well and display beautifully.
