A true Parisian treasure joins the Prestige Collection at Quintessentially French.
 
A delightful arrangement of country flowers in a rustic pot, the infromality is signalled by the fallen with scattered blooms in front of the pot. It is exquisitely painted with depth, texture and movement.
 
The canvas has signs of age but remains in a very well preserved state. There are some minor losses around the edge where it meets the frame. The painting is signed L Rick in the bottom right and the canvas, which is slightly loose in the frame, measures 9.5" by 7.5"
 
The frame is museum quality and reflects the quality of the painting. It is impossible to say for certain that it is the original frame, but viewed from the back the age of both seem to match well and complement each other.
 
The frame is heavyweight gilded gesso on wood and is a valuable piece in its own right. It is a deep (4") frame and the gilding has darkened with age. 
 
There are some losses, cracks and movement which is to be expected over the last 150+ years of use
