A lovely collection of 'terre de fer' ironstone transferware French footed serving plates.
All have the crackleure of their age and some have old chips and cracks which show the passage of time, they are like a French Grande Dame, elegantly aged!
All footed plates are approximately 23/24cm or 9" diameter.
Plate 1 has an Art Nouveau green blue flower motif around the rim and foot. Made by C&M it is the Milan range. It has one small chip on the foot and some minor staining, very little crazing.
Plate 2, there are two of these available. They are a mid blue lily of the valley pattern. There is crazing and foxing on both. Signed with a flourish on the base as sole Paris supplier EE.
Plate 3 is Gien Florence pattern, one old crack which is pictured. Darker blue elegant floral design.
Plate 4 is by HB&C, beautifully crackled and lovely sepia tone, it has a chip on the rim which is pictured. Beautifully wonky!
