Stunning pair of French silver plated roosters or cockerals used as a centre piece for special dinners, as the Gallic Rooster is the symbol of France.
Of course they don't need to be kept for best and can be used on the table or as a display year round, perfect for an authentic French style decor.
They are well cast and a good vintage age. Some of the silver plate is wearing off from use and polishing but this mearly adds to the patina and their vintage appeal.
They measure approximately 15cm or 6" beak to tail feathers and the taller of the pair 5" or 13cm to the top of his tail feathers.
There is a larger and heavier pair of these for sale at Quintessentially French also.
