Delightful duo of French books, the detail on the covers is beautiful.
The smaller, dated 190?, I think 1903, has the delightful title; Today's Fairies 'Les Fées d'aujourd'hui' and is illustrated with engravings throughout. It is in good condition for its age, with signs of being read and some foxing to the pages.
The slightly larger book isn't dated - I presume it is of a similar age to the other - although the young lady owner, Celeste, has inscribed her name inside the cover. It is entitled 'La Premier Messe d'Yvon' and is alsoin good condition for its age but has some spine damage at the ends.
The books measure 18.5cm 7.5" long and 20.5cm or 8" long approximately. The pair measure 2.5cm, or an inch high together.
