Once these vintage cocks or roosters would have graced the dining table of a grand Manoir or Château in France. They would be used as a stunning centre piece for special diners, as the Gallic Rooster is the symbol of France. Of course they don't need to be kept for best and would make a great display year round.
Made of silver coloured metal, they may be silver plated as they have that shine, but there is no hallmark.
They measure a huge 9" or 23cm long and one is 7" the other 8" tall. All measurements are appropriate.
They are heavy and well made with good detail in the casting.
They are heavy to post and the price has been reduced to off set the higher cost of shipping.
