This delightful pot is not only a beautiful shape, conical with the ridge to seal the covering, but has a gorgeous patination, there is also a small and old rim chip, adding to the charm. A much more scarce shape than its straight sided cousins, this is a unique addition to any ironstone collection.
 
Made by Gien has lived and been loved. It is stamped on the base very faintly but it shows the age to be from the middle decades of the 1800s.
